404 Error During Review

During content submission, the workflow will direct the content to a review for approval and, subsequently, deploy the content. During the review process, the reviewer will receive an email notification with the description of the task and the link to the specified content. However, when the link is clicked an HTTP STATUS 404 occurs.

This issue is the same when we click the checkbox of a page file and click the Preview button or when we click the link directly from the list of contents in the workarea. However, this doesn't happen to a file of a different extension (e.g. txt htm file) or when we preview a page from the edit mode.

Is there anybody faced this issue? kindly give some advise...

I think it is a problem of link specified to content. Because, while sending an approval email the content is still at development area till it will approved. So the content link should be link of content preview from workarea not from runtime. 404 error comes from runtime because this content is not available in runtime.
If the reviewer is logged in then it will open the content preview page otherwise comes to TS Login screen.
So you have to check the mail notification style sheet that is used for sending email (.xsl file). And check the url that is goes with link.

I went through another interwoven cms to check the content link shortcut under workflow,found it was similar with this one.The difference is that one works.

Ok, it means your iw-store is not mapped with web server.
What is TS and OS environment is there?
For MS server with IIS, you can run this command form //iw-home/iw-perl/bin:
iwperl iw-home\install\tspostreboot.pl iw-home IIS

It will map the iw-store with web-server and now you are able to preview content.

It seems there would be some configuration issue. You can check iw.cfg file with the working server.
iw-store means Y drive. For more information go through the ts_671sp1_install_win_v01_en.pdf, Chapter-3: Configuring Web Servers.

I have checked the iw.cfg refering the Configuring Web Server, but i havent found anything wrong.
Also i have tried to map the iw-store with web-server using perl script again.
but everything is still...
Is there any other possible causes for the issue?

Is there any thing logging in log files at //iw-home/local/logs and iwui folders?

there's some problem with the iw-preview webapp.Then we run the ./build.sh install" from within iwhome\local\config\lib\content_center\livesite_customer_src.

Previewing now is ok.

yea.actually,we got interwoven local support service this time.
preview livesite pages iw-preview is used,and we hadn't find other configuration issue.so only guess,then try.
