Customize Delete option in file menu

Hi,
I have customize Delete as "Master Delete" option after Delete option in File menu. and i m calling custome_delete_DCR.cgi on that click.

But i m not able to get name and Path of file that user has selected for Delete.
i have tried. @_ variable and $cgi = new TeamSite::CGI_lite;
$cgi->parse_data();
my $workarea = $cgi->{form}{area_path};
to fetch workarea or any values that i use in CGI.

Please guide me if there require to code in different way, i am not able to get path of selected file.

use something like below to see what all are coming. Printing the keys will give you that answer.

foreach $name (keys %{$cgi->{form}})
{
print "name: $name
\n".
"value: ", $cgi->{form}{$name} ,"

\n";
}

you may use,
my $full_= $cgi->{form}{'vpath'};

Then play around with someregex to get the WA.

Set up another custom menu item using /iw-bin/show_env.ipl
as the script to run - and then try using it: first without anything selected in the UI, then with one file or directory selected, then with multiple files and/or directories selected - you should be able to figure it out from the information presented there.

This snippet works.. as per suggestion from Adam. I can distinguish various cases (single file,Folder,None) in that response.

Hey!

I am also trying to override the File -> delete functionality, i am writing a new cgi for the same.

But not able to get the selected files from the workarea using the given code snippet. Could any of help me with the exact code to get the selected files from the workarea.

Hi,

here, i am assumed that you have written CGI for your functionality.
with the help of this code
foreach $name (keys %{$cgi->{form}}) {
debug("name: $name\n"."value:".$cgi->{form}{$name});
}
You can get what are the parameter are passed to your CGI when you click on custom menu.
Once you get exact key values pair. then retrieve selected file and folder with
my $Filename= $cgi->{form}{'vpath'};
my $Foldername= $cgi->{form}{'cwd.vpath'};

$cgi->{form}{vpath} could, potentially, be an array rather than a scalar - so you have to handle both situations (i.e., there might be more than one file selected).
