Hi,

We have a requirement where in business will do deployment to PRIVATE, TAL and PROD servers in mentioned sequence.

In my config file I have two definitions one called WEB and another one called HTTPSCONTENT.

When user does deployment on PRIVATE server content from WEB definition should be deployed and HTTPSCONTENT definition should act as a dummy without doing anything.

When business does deployment to TAL and PROD content will be deployed from both the definitions. With which I don't have any problem.

How can I acheive this ?

I tried having blank replicationFarm as shown below

Hi Sanjeev

The solution which I could think of is as follows assuming :-

On success of deployment from WEB definition to PRIVATE servers, the second deployment from both WEB and HTTPSCONTENT to TAL and PROD servers should be invoked simultaneously.

You can make use of deployment level trigger and configure it in such a way that on successful deployment from WEB definition to PRIVATE server,second depoyment should be invoked as DNR having 2 definitions - WEB and HTTPSCONTENT to both TAL and PROD servers.

If you want to perform the deployment to PROD after successful deployment to TAL server, then you can configure another deployment trigger from second deployment.

Can any one help on this.

I have 2 differnt definition, with 2 different source and target directories.

if i have deployed from one source path, the other definition should not call. but, currently both the definitions were getting executed.

Can any one please help on this. Thanks in advance.

It *seems* that you simply need two different deployments (public/private) with single definition each.

Alternatively, you can keep a configuration with both definitions and use only one execDeploymentTask
(or whatever you use) with the "useDefinition" Attribute Value provided dynamically through -k Parameter.

Either way, some user or perhaps workflow/process would have to decide what Deployment to use or what
value to assign.
