The older attachments were lost when the forums were moved some time ago.  Matthew is not available.  If you want to manipulate datetime data, try creating a computed column in the data set.  Add JavaScript to the column expression to parse the data and do whatever calculations are required.  If you have a specific question, please post it.  Including the product version and an example would be helpful.
