Inline command returning Invalid japanese characters

Hi,

I am using Inline callout in DCt to retrive the Data from the database, which has Japanese characters.

When i open new DCR to select the values that i got from Database,the characters are displaying abruptly.

when i run perl program from command line which i used in Inline callout ,the japanese characters are showing fine.

The encoding format i am using is UTF-8.
Looking forward for possitive response

Hello Vijay,

Looks like the encoding is getting lost when you're returning the values from perl to DCT or proper encoding isn't set-up either in perl or DCT.

Please post you perl code and datacapture.cfg for quick response. Also mention your TS version and platform.

Assuming this is a perl script, try adding something like this:
$ENV{'NLS_LANG'} = "AMERICAN_AMERICA.UTF8";

This might also work and be a bit more accurate. You would have to test it.
$ENV{'NLS_LANG'} = ".UTF8";
