capture url dynamically in component

hi,
i have a page listing various jobs.the jobs have their details in a formatted xml file.now i have a generic detailed page or you can say a skeleton of detailed page which would open up the respectived detailed job description.Now I have created a detailed page which will have a component which will capture the xml file corresponding to the job list .is there any way to do it without using the jave or any server side code.

The job specific xml resides inside the data folder of the corresponding datacapture file
How big can this XML file get?
the xml file will be at max 20kb

Well this is what my query is all about.

20k is a bit much to post around, it will probably be easier if pass the xml ID to detail page and have it load the XML dynamically. I think the java way would make your life a lot easier.
