Last Server registry key

I have some code that was checking this registry key to determine what server to connect to. However, I have found that on some machines this key does not exist. The users are still able to use FileSite on the machine. Does anyone know of a reason why this key would be missing?

I have some code that was checking this registry key to determine what server to connect to. However, I have found that on some machines this key does not exist. The users are still able to use FileSite on the machine. Does anyone know of a reason why this key would be missing?

When this key is missing, FileSite will prompt the end-user to logon by displaying the Server Connection dialog. This key merely used to remember the most recently registered server.

I'm not sure how it could disappear if servers have been registered at some point in the past without having to have removed it from the registry manually or by script.

Thanks jny. I had assumed that is how the key was supposed to work, but thought that I must have been wrong.
