Set database for DocOpenDlg

Hi,

1/ Is it possible to pass a database to the DocOpenDlg, so that when the user clicks on the dialog's Search button, it only lists the particular database that you passed it?

2/ Also I only want to display documents with a certain doc type from just one of our 3 databases. At the moment it is searching all 3 databases for the particular doc type (class). Is this possible?

There is a IManStrings4Search Property off of the DocOpenDlg that you may use to specify the databases by name that you would like the dialog to search in, and the property accepts the ManStrings collection like so:

Dim dblist As New ManStrings
dblist.Add db.Name 'Assuming db is a valid database object

oDocOpenDlg.IManStrings4Search = odblist

The doc class search value can be added to your search parameters for the dialog to search by, like so:

Dim ps As IManProfileSearchParameters
Set ps = dms.CreateProfileSearchParameters
ps.Add imProfileClass, "DOC" 'Arbitrary example of a valid class alias

oDocOpenDlg.ShowContainedDocuments = ps

Note: I think the IManStrings4Search is not supported until 8.1 - but I'm not too sure.
