dql query to get the list of Folders with the count for all the folders.

Can we create a dql wherein :

we don’t need to pass the specific folder path in the query and folder should Identify the main folder Name dynamically and it should generate the result set.

Basically we want DQL for pulling out the YXZName folder name and folder path and the count of documents inside the folders/Subfolders

Try this:

select fol.object_name,fol.r_folder_path,count(doc.r_object_id) from dm_document doc, dm_folder fol where doc.i_folder_id=fol.r_object_id and folder('/Training',descend) and r_folder_path is not nullstring group by fol.r_folder_path, fol.object_name enable(row_based);

I have restricted the results to Training cabinet but you can remove the restriction and put your own.

Thanx, but thing is that we don’t need to pass the specific folder path in the query .
So by alone passing cabinet would it work as the no. of documents we like to take count of from the specific folder .

And the folder should dynamically identify the name of the folder from where we want the count of the the documents.

Specifying a starting point leads the query to the content.

If you don't include the cabinet as a starting point it will include all cabinets, which include system and configuration locations. The count information may be inaccurately inflated because it is including objects outside of your files.

Regarding the other criteria you mentioned, the sample provided by crazytraveller should output the folder name, the path and a count of the documents inside the folder.
