Number of replicants

Hi All,
I need to get the number of replicants in my DCR. Using the number of replicants that I get I need to run a for loop to disable one of the item in all the replicants...

Can you please let me know how to get the number of replicants.

IWDatacapture.getItem("Item").getChildren().length only gives me number of children. Is there any similar way to get the number of replicants?

you mean you want the instances in the replicant?

may be you can check for item object and increment a count till it's not null/undefined.

you are using the instance in the getItem and not the replicant.

If you use /Root/Replicant it will tell you how many instances are in the replicant.

If you use /Root/Replicant[4] you will get the number of items in that specific instance.

If you are being passed that information (say via an event handler) then you so something like:

getItem(item.getName+"/..")

That item object will return a lot of info likr whether it's AND/OR replicant etc. You may use a regex to read what you want.
