"unable to retrieve data" error while tagging

when i go to tagui window in Teamsite for tagging my content, an error message saying "unable to retrieve data" pops up.

Can someone tell me the reason for this?
What is probably causing this?
How to avoid this?

Have you validated that MetaTagger is tagging content on its own? (Use iwgenmetadata command line to test sample files local to the MT box and validate the names of the elements in the resulting .imd file.)

2. Have you verifier that your iw.cfg file is configured to point at MT? (If you are on solaris - this is in /etc not /iw-home)

3. Make a simple global condition in metadata-rules.cfg (.*). Make a simple a rule in local/config/datacapture.cfg linked to the global condition that uses MT's out-of-the-box summinx_en summarizer.

4. Verify that the summidx_en field is still present on MT. Add it to your content processor for the file type you are testing.

If you get no entry - verify the file has content. Copy file to MT server and try to tag it locally using CLT.
