Search Funtionality

PayalGarg

Hi All,

This is regarding search functionality. If we need to implement search in our website, then are there any APIs exposed by TeamSite/LiveSite, that we can use to make the content in DCRs available through search?

TeamSite content is searchable through CCPRO, Is there any way we can search this content from our website as well, through some LiveSite component?

Or we need to work upon some external search engines and then achieve this functionality through external components?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Payal,

If your website is publicly available, you might consider the Google site search component that was posted in the AdvancedBackpacking spar on DevNet. It has an external that uses Google's REST API to query for crawled results (only on your site), and then formats the results however you like via XSL.

Other than that I'm not aware of a search component in the out-of-the-box LS runtime. I think one is coming in a future release.
