Hello,

I want to migrate content from one system to another system. The content in TeamSite contains also extended attributes. Is it possible to migrate the content including the extended attributes with the command line tool 'iwmigrate'?

Which versions of TS do you want to migrate to and from? I think you'd only need iwmigrate if you're moving from a pre-6.5 release to 6.5 or later (that's just from memory, so I could be wrong about the exact versions).

Do you want to migrate the entire content store, or just particular files or workareas?

If you want to migrate the entire content store, you'll need to copy iw-store to the new system and run iwidmap and iwstoreadm (see docs for details). If you're moving from a pre-6.5 release you'd also need iwmigrate.

If you only want to migrate certain workareas, then OenDeploy is probably the best bet.

Both of these methods will retain your EAs, although you'll have to tell OD to copy the EAs over in your deployment config.

I want to migrate the entire content store from TS 6.5 to TS 6.5. So the solution for me will be
- deactivating the current iw-store with iwstoreadm
- copying it to the new location
- activating the iw-store with iwstoreadm
- and finally using iwidmap for changing the mapping of the SID

I think you may have the last two steps the wrong way around, and if you're copying the users and groups over, make sure that you edit the output of iwidmap from the current system so that any local users and groups are local to the new machine before running iwidmap on the target machine.

There could also be other things that you need to do - I'd recommend reading KB article 55358 on the support site.
