File Extension removal on import in webtop

Is there an option to remove the file extension of a file (ie .pdf) so that it doesn't become part of the name of the file in Documentum? Currently the "title" is the path of the document on my computer and the "name" of the document is the name of the file with the extension. I would like it to not add the extension on the imports as this is very time consuming to remove each on during a large import.
