Flash Player 10.0 not supported.

There is an article with few Hyperlinks created in's main content area. Main content is a VFE filed.

The hyperlinks as follows:

1. http://legal.bpweb.bp.com/local_assets/documents/sample.jpg (Image)

2. http://legal.bpweb.bp.com/local_assets/documents/general.exe (Flash player)

Now, When we hit the above the first URL, the hyper link works fine.
i.e the image is downloaded from the server and getting displayed on the web page.

But the second flash player is not dispalyed.. instead it gives "Page can not be displayed"

Now It is something to do with Teamsite? or IE is causing this probelm becasue of the .exe in the URL.

Please suggest.

I don't know of any Flash player ending in .exe. If it's a flash file then. generally, it should be ending in .swf or .flv.

Also this is not a TeamSite issue. Most likely it is either a) the file really doesn't exist or b) IE won't let open the file or IE doesn't know what to do with the .exe.

You might want to verify the file exists and if it is a flash file then make sure it's setup properly.

Thanks for the reply.
The solution is:
Flash .exe file can not be embedded into HTML/web pages. So convert the exe file into swf.
Using the below url, just select the .exe file from your desktop and convert into swf. There is no need to install the converter.

This worked out and User is happliy converted his files and used on his page.
