Datepicker jquery want to use in date fileds in DCT instead of manual date entry in text box at DCT. Whenever requires I can set readonly to the item, based on certain conditions. This one i can not achieve in callout calendar.

Not sure if understand you requirements, but if you just want to automatically populate the date field use FormAPI. if you want user to pick date from calendar see http://devnet.interwoven.com/forums_vb/showthread.php?p=92779#post92779

a callout at least has a view into your DCT's DOM, including formAPI access to the DCT fields. Why are you so sure that you cannot write a CGI callout + some javascript?

Hi Greg,
The requirement will be in some cases I want to set readonly date field. Some cases i should allow user edition. If i take the callout i cannot disable callout button dynamically as setting readonly to date filed.

Jquery will work as click listener on the date (text) field. It will only invokable by users while setting date field readonly false. in the true scenarios he can't invoke date window popup to pick date

I hope you got my point. Already i had the callout implementation. Instead of using the existing one's if we try to use the new functionality to meet the requirement, it will be our new learning exp.

Thanks for all your efforts. Finally i got what is the root cause of the obstruction to my datepicker jquery implementation in DCT. After putting some efforts in IE Script debugger, found out IE version will be the root cause(IE7). The same thing i tried in firebox. It is working fine.
Now i am trying to fix the IE7 issue .
