New user with same name & Email address but Different user ID

We use LDAP Sync to create new users. We have new user whose Name & Email address are same as another existing user. The Existing user is no longer valid can be deactivated
Old User's Name: User, Old
Older User Email: User.Old@TestComp.com
Older User UserID: UserO
New User's Name: User, Old
NewUser Email: User.Old@TestComp.com
Newr User UserID: UO721
Please let me know how to procced.

You cannot have two users with the same name (same e-mail address is ok). So you will need to rename the inactive user in Documentum (e.g. reassign user in DA). If your the old user is still present in your directory, then adjust your filter to ignore invalid/inactive users.
