Hi All,

I have the following situation:

I have to do develop my code for Teamsite on Windows 2003 and have to migrate the whole development work done to a SoLaris 10 server, what are the main things which I need to consider before migrating the code from Windows 2003 to Solars 10 server.

Are there any compatibility issues to be considered your suggestions are welcome.

I think there would not be an issue with code migration. As i understand by "

develop my code for Teamsite

" that you are talking about UI customization or functional customization of Teamsite. That is perform using CSSDK and Java. As you know that Java is platform independent. So, that is not an issue.
But there might be problem while executing CLT from the codding, because syntax for executing CLTs are different with environment. So you need to take care of this while codding and try to handle different environment.

Encoding (cp-1252 vs utf-8), unless you are all utf8 in windows

It would depend on what type of code you develop for TeamSite on the Windows server. Did you write all your code in Java? If you use the system IO separator, then your code SHOULD (wink!) work without too much hassle.
Also, if you did not do any Runtime calls it should work.

If you wrote your program in Perl, then all you should really need to do is change the shebang line if you did not do any exec or system calls.

As for the UI customization, it should work for both Windows and Solaris with the xml files.

Also, make sure you are migrating the code from the same version of TeamSite from the Windows server to the Solaris server.
