Hi TS developers,

TS 6.7.1

I would like to control which workflows to show depending on the location where the user launches the workflow. I know that by doing

[PHP]

[/PHP]

However, I only want the users to be able to select this workflow when they submit from

[PHP]

/default/main/Dev/Russia/....../German
or
/default/main/Dev/Russia/....../USEnglish
[/PHP]

Likewise there's another workflow that I only want the users to be able to submit when they are in

[PHP]

/default/main/Dev/Russia/....../German/0

/..../ means workarea and other folders.
[/PHP]

My code checks for vpath and it will die if the workflow is launched from where it's not supposed. However, If I can get this to work, I can restrict the launch of the workflow at all.

Do you know any examples that reflect this requirement?

Any suggestions?

Have you tried something like:

          <vpath-regex regex="/default/main/Dev/Russia/.*/USEnglish"/>

I can't say I understand the path (German and USEnglish within Russia - but I think the above would satisfy the first of your requirements.

The second one is a little harder because while you could specify a workflow for "/default/main/Dev/Russia/.*/German/0" - I believe that you would still see the workflow specified without the "/0" at the end - precisely because you're dealing with directories and workareas within the wildcarding (.*) - though if there are other constraints - it might work - like:

<model debug="false" active="true" filename="NeedsTranslation" name="NEEDS TRANSLATION">
    <allowed>
<or>
        <and>
          <or>
            <vpath-regex regex="/default/main/Dev/Russia/.*/German"/>
            <vpath-regex regex="/default/main/Dev/Russia/.*/USEnglish"/>

          <vpath-regex regex="/default/main/Dev/Russia/[color=blue].*/German/0"/>
          <role name="editor"/>

Or something like that. It's a little too difficult to understand what you're looking for based upon your post - perhaps a slightly more simplistic relationship specification would work to explain what you want - like:

Start from that, and then transform it into the conditional equivalent specification using the XML syntax.

However, what if I want to restrict the access of NeedsTranslation if the workflow if the user launches from ..... German/0.

Once deafult/...../German is allowed, all the other sub directories are allowed.

Can I do something like or ...-regex!=
In other words to exclude the workflow from launching.

Any suggestions?

You could try:

"/default/main/.*/German/[^0]"

"/default/main/.*/German($|/$|/[^0])"

Or something like that.
