Preselected Files Workflow Attribute

Randy

Can someone provide an example of setting the preselected files attribute in a workflow?

I believe that PreselectedFiles is a Workflow Builder specific option. It will only work if you are using Workflow Builder. That said, in the Workflow Focus Group at GearUp last week it was overwhelmingly determined that the vast majority of developers don't like or use Workflow Builder and don't want Interwoven to spend a lot of time on it in it's current form. Developer's aren't looking for ways to allow business users to create workflows. I'm hoping they got the message.

Thanx for the info.
Personally I like better doc on workflows not workflow builder

In WorkflowBuilder (as previously bantied about) the use of the preselevted files attribute is so that when the workflow is instantiated, it will automatically include any files that were pre-selected in the TeamSite GUI.

This boils down into code that looks something like this:

...

< workflow ...>
< template_script>< ![CDATA[
  ...
  my @submit_file = ();
  if (__ELEM__('iw_file')) {
@submit_file = map {
      TeamSite::CGI_lite::escape_html_data($_);
    } sort  __VALUE__('iw_file');
  }

  sub submit_files_xml {
    my $xml = '';
    if (__ELEM__('iw_file') != 0) {
        $xml .= "< files>\n";
        for (my $i=0; $i < @submit_file; ++$i) {
            $xml .= "< file path='$submit_file[$i]' ";
            $xml .= "comment='pre-selected file'/>\n";
        }
        $xml .= "< /files>\n";
    }
    return $xml;
}
  ...
]]>< /template_script>
...
  < xxxtask ... start="t">
    ...
    __INSERT__(submit_files_xml());
  < /xxxtask>
...
< /workflow>
