Uppercase of file extension name
Aleks
Hi everyone,
We currently face a problem about case file extension.
We tried to implement some uppercase files extension to MT for tagging metadata, it retrieves empty output. Then once I change files extension to lower case, it generates metadata recorders. For an instance, if i try a.DOC, then MT said no to me, but if i change to a.doc, then MT gives me what i need.
Does anyone have this problem before? Is it possible to fix it from MT side, not file name? We can't change the files name for some reasons.
Any reply will be appreciated.

The lower case extension works because its already in your binary processor of metatagger. If you want metatagger to support other file extensions, you need to add them in your metatagger config files and restart metatagger server.

Thank you for your reply.
As you said if it is possible, so my question will be how to add different(upper case) file extension to file type group? I couldn't find it from user guide, I will really appreciate if you will let me know.

Its in the metatagger manuals, i believe its the metatagger.cfg file under path where metatagger is installed like
\Interwoven\Metatagger411\conf

Thank you very much, it is working.
Didn't think that will be that easy. I was on administration GUI, try to fix it, but no luck.
Thanks again.
