Files missing from "livesite_customer_src" directory after the installation

Hi Friends,

I have got the latest version of Intervowenproducts installed on a windows box. However, after the installation i'm not able to see any files in the "livesite_customer_src" directory. Then I got the the missing files from the support. However, after that I'm always getting different exceptions while creating an external component. The support guy suggests the reinstallation of the whole TS package which is very time consuming.

I will appriciate if you could help me with this.

Environment:
Windows 2003 EE SP2
MSSQL 2005
TeamSite 6.7.2
SitePublisher (LiveSite) 3.1.0
ReportCenter

I would suggest to go for re-installation rather than spending time in struggling with exception issues.

I will say you should go for support suggestion,as a reinstallation can only take you out.

Once while creating an external component and executing the build,the same thing happens to our server,our "livesite_customer_src" directory got empty.But in our case we can not even acess the server,it was showing a error page .

The issues was that one services "Interwoven CSSDK SOAP Server" has got deleted,beacuse of this the other services are not working properly.

Finally we have to reinstall the server.

Thanks for the reply. But when I run the build and create the livesite jar/war files it works fine and it says build created successfully. Only while previewing it gives errors.

Are you trying to customize livesite or creating some external component etc.
[livesite_customer_src] is the directory which is used when either we want to customize or wnat to create some external component.Then whatever files we create either config,jsp or java.we place them in this directory and finally execute the build to incorporate the changes.

Go through the manual LiveSite Developer Guide-->HeadTopic Name--[Configuring Eclipse IDE]--SubTopic--[Create a Java Project].Here you will find the step by step procedure to create external component.

Unfortunately I've already done that and compiled the classes and created a "SUCCESSFUL BUILD". And after that when I preview an external component it gives me and error. Now in the log files I'm not able to see anything for the same.

Have you checked that thread as there was version related issue.
What's the error ?
Can you post your log "servletd_out.log".

Following is the error which I'm getting. Also, I've reinstalled the TeamSite and other components. Eventhough the same exception is occuring everytime I preview the component.
