Problem serving .flv(flash video) content

Hi,

Teamsite version 6.7.1

I am having a flv(flash video) player which uses the FLVPlayback component provided by adobe. When i upload the flv video to teamsite workarea and try to view it using the player i am unable to view the file. I have tried uploading an image, a swf file to the same location and tried accessing them. They appear fine.

My question is does teamsite serve files only with specific file extensions. is there like an allowed / block list?

I have tested the player seperately on a apache server and it plays the video fine.

TS will let you save any file with any extension - however previewing is done through the "customer web server" (on Windows this is usually IIS) and it may be that you don't have that web server configured [MIME settings?] for Flash Video.

I never had to do any special configurations to preview flash components in teamsite, it always worked out of the box for me. if the html + flash works on its own, then it should work in teamsite unless you configured teamsite to not allow flv...

It's not a question of TeamSite (iwwebd) allowing or disallowing it, it's a question of the customer web server that is used in conjunction with TeamSite being properly configured.
