Create Workspace Using Delphi Pascal

I am trying to create a workspace using Delphi. Following your tech library example i have the following code:

FSession.Get_PreferredDatabase(defDB);

iVal := 0;
// add to recent workspaces
myWS.AddToRecentWorkspaces;

No errors appear, even when using UpdateAll and UpdateAllWithResults. Return code is -2147212051 (iVal in my code). FSession is defined and does return a default database for the logged in user. I am using the IManage 8.2 SDK. Any ideas?

I want to add that I can build folders under an existing workspace with no problems, my issue is with creating a workspace at the database level.

It looks like you're missing the owner assignment. You would need to assign the user (IManUser Object) to the Owner (IManWorkspace) Property.

Also, you would need to pass in a tempfile to the update method, like so:

tempFile = GetTempFile ' temp file for updating

' Commit workspace profile to server
Set iUpdateResult = iWorkspace.UpdateAllWithResults(tempFile)

If False = iUpdateResult.Succeeded Then GoTo Cleanup
