I have a variable called "documentName" (string) and I'm trying to pass it to an ipl file.
I can call the .ipl file from the .js, but I can't seem to pass the string across.
What is the trick to it?
javascript:
var params = new Object();
// note: i have tried documentName AND String(documentName) both.
params.documentName = documentName;
IWDatacapture.callServer("
http://apwcms/iw-bin/pge_custom/price_summaries.ipl", params);
I can't seem to figure out what to do on the .ipl side, though.
I've seen some code samples like this:
my $in = new CGI;
my $documentName = $in->param('documentName');
But then I get errors about: "Can't locate object method 'new' via package "CGI" and then I start wondering if I'm barking up the wrong tree.
It seems like this should be simpler then I'm making it.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
