Question about proxy

Hi All,

I have some questions about the proxy settings in the teamsite.

We have a dev server whose URL is 1 - http://teetdiw2/ . It can also be accessed as 2 - http://teetdiw2.dev.prod.travp.net/

When i am login to teamsite with number 1 url and opens a DCR and preview it, there is following link on the preiview.
http://teetdiw2/docs/Documents/Alerts/2008_test.pdf

When I tries to access the link, it works perfect - It correctly redirects it to iwmount and respective workarea.

But when i login to teamiste with number 2 URL and tries to acces the same link on the preview page, it gives me page can not be found error.

The proxy settingin my iw.cfg is as -

[iwproxy]
iwproxy_host=localhost
customer_webserver_host=teetpiw2.prod.travp.net
iwproxy_port=1080
customer_webserver_port=81
allow_unlocked_file_upload=null

I am using 6.7.1 SP1 Windows 2003.

Do you have any ideas why this is not working when i login with number 2 URL.

Are there other iwproxy_* settings in your iw.cfg? If so, you'd have to post those too for us to help you.

I figureed out what was the problem in my case. when I login with URL 1 or 2, teamsite creates two cookies. And the link on the preview page was always using URL 1 cookie.. because of which when I access it with another URL, it was not able to remap the URL to iwmount and respective workarea...

I have another question about getting the hostname.

I am currently getting it using Sys::Hostname::hostname().
But it always return me teetdiw2, it does not matter whether i login with http://teetdiw2/ or http://teetdiw2.dev.prod.travp.net/

Can you please tell me how to get teetdiw2.dev.prod.travp.net when i login with http://teetdiw2.dev.prod.travp.net/ ?

Sys::Hostname::hostname() should return the same results that you'd get if you type the hostname command in a shell on the server, which is generally the first entry associated with the IP address in /etc/hosts. If you want the fully qualified domain name, see about getting the hosts files modified.
