Hi,

I have a requirement where the users would like to have a direct link to D2 UI search capability. The need is that the D2 UI is directed when the user clicks on a url (link) and then the D2 UI procures a search string from the query string parameter, then searches based on the parameter value and displays the results.

Is it possible to create a link to documentum UI such that it gets the query string parameter and uses that to perform a search in documentum and fetch the list of documents found for that search parameter?

If we click on the link, it launches a browser, directs to documentum D2 UI for ex, performs a search and present results to the user there by not letting him that search parameter.?

Sorry I wanted to know more about the D2 search configuration wrt Public and Saved searches based on metadata like object type or custom type or any other fields from the query forms any way to do it? we don't have if else if else conditions for the search criteria to be configured. Only and or clause.

Please guide me further.

I find it difficult to understand exactly what you are asking.

Regarding the original post, perhaps a D2 Smart URL will achieve what you're asking? Something like:

http://<D2 Host>/D2/?docbase=<Repository Name>&login=<Username>&password=<Password>&selectDql=<DQL SELECT statement>

Regarding the second post, you can use custom DQL in a Query Form, and in the DQL you can define an IF statement even if this is quite awkward. You can use a UNION or an OR statement to achieve an IF - for instance:

SELECT 'Agency' AS addressee_label, addressee_value FROM

(

SELECT c_addressee_types AS addressee_label, c_addressee_types AS addressee_value FROM c_output_template

WHERE r_object_id = '09cfc186806d1754'

)

WHERE addressee_value = 'Body'
