Urgent| Issue in Email Notification External Task|Workflow

Hi,

This is regarding an external task being used to notify distro about the deletion of some files using a workflow. We are facing an issue that there is no email getting generated. The external task being used is :-

owner='__TAG__("iw_user");'
description='Notify about file deletion from target'>

__INSERT__("");

__INSERT__("");

Instead of this, the tasks gets ended after 5minsutes. Any help/guidance would be appreaciated.

That aside, your problem is almost for sure -t Value. Note that -t element(s) should be an exact match (case including) of the desired
task name and that -t list can not be empty. To be precise, mail tasks *-t lists* must evaluate to at least one valid task name if mapped
against all Workflow tasks.

Note that the command could be more clearly written as:

__INSERT__(qq(<command v='$ABC/iw_solution_email.ipl -t "Notify File Deleteion"'/>));

The use of qq() negates the need to escape (back-slash) the double quotes surrounding the task name.
I made the single-quotes purple just to make it clearer to those reading the code that they were distinct from the double-quotes surrounding the name of the target-task which, as Boris already pointed out, needs to be identical to the actual name of the task from which you wish to extract the owner who is to be used as the recipient of the email.

The above assumes that there is a task in the workflow named "Notify File Deleteion" (spelling issue -- I also recommend not using spaces in task names) and that the owner of that task is the person to whom you wish to send this email just prior to ending the job (since that's the only transition shown for the task).
