Swedish Chars and iwperl

System

My iwperl inline callout mashes all my swedish characters from the DB and causes my DCT to not open.
I guess this is because the DB (SQL Server) is returning characters encoded in UCS-2 and my DCT is set to UTF-8 ?
Does anyone have a perl algorithm that can do UCS-2 to UTF-8 ?

Problem Solved - Found the solution on DevNet.

There's a very useful perl code snippet there that will do the UCS-2 to UTF-8 conversion
