Preview/Generate flags in tpl?

Hi everyone - happy Friday to you all!

I was wondering if any of you happen to know if, within a presentation template, I can determine whether the user hit "Preview" or "Generate" in the DCR? I have a sinking feeling the answer is no - this is only available to the DCT via FormAPI - but I thought I would ask anyways.

I was hoping I could have my presentation template concatenate the 4-6 pages of output within 1 variable if the user chose to Preview (so he/she could see what all of the ostreamed pages would look like), or just ostream out all of the pages should the user have chosen Generate.

Hi Chris,

It is in iwperl. I think that is what will be my downfall. Perhaps I should read up on how to do it via XSLT.

see this, it might help you to determine what mode it is, then come up with solution based on what mode you are in.

not sure if i understand all you requirements, but one way would be to print the links to the 4-6 pages if you were in preview mode.

Awesome - thanks a TON Chris (& Andy). I've already figured out what I need to do for each mode, I just had no idea how to determine within the PT what mode I was in. Thanks for making my Friday!!!
