Domain lost after reboot
Jot
Hi,
after rebooting the TeamSite server the user's domain is lost from the login drop down list.
I didn't changed any configuration.
In iw.cfg the domain is specified on as follows:
[iwcgi]
domain_list=EU
[iwserver]
domain_list=EU
There no problem to connect the domain directly via "My Network Places" from the server.
I remember a similar issue after a reboot. At that time overnight waiting "solved" the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

We noticed that the domain list seemed a bit random with 6.7.2 at first and that we couldn't remove the TS server and 'none' from the list even with the two domain_list entries in iw.cfg (we only authenticate against one domain).
It seems to have sorted itself out over time, so the user can always select the correct domain, but we still get support calls about being 'removed from the system' because our users aren't used to selecting the domain. We have a FR open to remove the server and 'none' from the domain drop-down if they're not required. Let me know if that's what you're after and I'll dig out the FR number.

Hello Slabrador,
for us it's no problem that we couldn't remove the TeamSite server and 'none' from the list (actually we need these entries for some local users).
The most of our users authenticate against one domain. But after the reboot this domain is not listed anymore, so that users can't select it and aren't able to login.
Thanks for your quick reply.

I remember a similar issue after a reboot. At that time overnight waiting "solved" the problem.
Now it took about four hours: the domain appears in the drop down list again.
Entry in the iwtrace.log: 'Domain "EU" is added to the domain list'
Does anyone know, why TeamSite needs so long to add the domain?

We're facing the same issue as well. The domain seemed to appear after about 30 mins post-reboot.
Anyone found out the cause for this? Is there a way to overcome this issue?
Thanks in advance for sharing the information.

We now have installed a hotfix from Microsoft on our development platform.
See

.
It seems that this hotfix helps: After rebooting the system the domain appears in the drop down list immediately.
But: the hotfix is not fully tested by Mircosoft. So it's not suitable for a production environment.
