CMD iwmodelc instantiation problem

Environment: Windows Server 2003 and TeamSite 6.7.2.

I created a simple workflow with an external task by using Workflow Modeler.

Configured it for branch and able to start it from the GUI by selecting file and click submit link. Workflow executed and finished as it is suppose to be.

Also I have to use an IPL file to do workflow instantiation by using iwmodelc command line tool. Unfortunately it is returning me following message:

log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (com.interwoven.cssdk.sci.search.CSSearchUtil).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
Error: Model cfpsa is not allowed for the user system of role null for branch /default/main/CF/web/WORKAREA/ottawa

I know it is role and permission issue, but when I am looking at the properties/role for this branch and workarea, I cannot see SYSTEM user at all, but when I look at the owner of /iwadmin/main/workflowModels it is a SYSTEM and the SYSTEM user has full control permission.

As I understand I have to add the same user for /default/main/CF/web/WORKAREA/ottawa branch, the same user with appropriate role and full control permission. The only problem it doesn’t find the SYSTEM user. When I am going to the permissions and that I try to find the SYSTEM user the result is empty.

How can I fix this problem or problem not at this spot at all?

Are you able to see user SYSTEM in under your Administration tab?
The /iwadmin/main/workflowModels should be shared by iwEveryone too, do you have it shared? You do not need to add user SYSTEM to any workarea, it by default has access to everything.

Unfortunately I do not have the SYSTEM user under Administration tab.

I have iwEveryone share group with Administration role and for now with full permission control.

Agreed, but user has to be visible for TeamSite otherwise any external scripts or application cannot run CMD tools.

Since, you are on TS 6.7.2, I am not sure whether you should see the SYSTEM user under your Administration tab, if you have access to other TS 6.7.2 box, compare with it. As of TS 6.7.1 SP1 the SYSTEM user is visible under Admin and Search. Someone else can throw some more light for TS672.

You are right Pawan, I can see at 6.7.1 SYSTEM user and I am thinking it suppose to be the same for 6.7.2 as well. I hope some one will give me an advice or solutions for my issue.

Can you send us the information of how you have configured the workflow that you use to invoke from command line using iwmodelc within available_models

I did the same configuration for TeamSite 6.7.1 and it is working fine from regular submission and from command line tool as well. The SYSTEM user is searchable for TeamSite 6.7.1 and not for 6.7.2.
Looks for me error message explains pretty clean - problem with SYSTEM user at TeamSite 6.7.2
If some one can tell me - is SYSTEM user searchable for TeamSite 6.7.2 in other servers it means something wrong with current installation or user configuration.

Well, I didn't get anything back. No body even tell me about SYSTEM user in other TS 6.7.2 instances.
Bjorn, I will try during this week to do upgrade with new Dev license in VPC and I will tell you if SYSTEM user will be available on it.

Well, other instance and the same problem. I cannot add SYSTEM user - just not on the list of users.
Looks like this is some problem or Interwoven/Autonomy has to explain how to fix it locally or by using some patch.

The "modelname" that you pass as an argument to iwmodelc needs to be the name as specified in "available_models", not the file path of the model.

e.g. iwmodelc -i "Model Name" /default/main/yourbranch/WORKAREA/wa

Note that you also need to have set the model up to be <command name="new_job"/>
