Query regarding Open Deploy

dip21

Hi..

We encountered an old open deploy configurations for OpenDeploy4.5.

Deployment command used for this deployment is as follows.
/opt/opendeploy/bin/iwdeploy -fs open_deploy.properties $server area=$deploy_area < $deploylist";

where

1. $server area == DEVELOPMENT
2. $deploy_area == source area in TeamSite.
3. $deploylist == file list attached in workflow job

Here, On basis on file extention ( whether it is an xml or HTML) and server area (DEVELOPMENT or PRODUTION), correspondiong deployment defination is picking from deployment configuration ( open_deploy.properties)
but we are not sure how deployment is done ...means whether it will deploy only those files in which are attched ( file list in deploylist) and it will deploy all files from local_directory to remote_directory as mentioned in deployment configuration ( open_deploy.properties)

Here is sample deployment config file

Thanks in advance.

Yours is a pretty good assumption. I do not remember OD 4.5 well enough to say with certainty, it was EOL several years ago.

IWOV has/had a utility on the support site to convert from OD 4.5 properties files to 5.X (and 6.X) xml files. You may want to see if you can find it, and try it as well.
