MediaBin search across ALL metadata fields

My end users want a keyword search across all mediabin metadata fields, full text, string lists, etc. Is there a way to set this up? Is this a good use of advanced search functionality?

How about using "Any Text" search field?

The best practice is to configure all the fields desired into the Any text list and be sure they use the "Contains Word" search to make use of the full text index. A simple "Contains" search will not scale to any reasonable size.
