DCR naming

Hi all,

I've a requirement in which I need to force the naming of the DCR.
While saving, the DCR should be saved by picking up an item in DCR. Say, if a user has entered a value in name field as "John", then the file should be saved as John.xml. Also it should be saved in a folder called "J" (first letter of the filename) in data folder (data/J).

How can we achieve this functionality?

You need to call FormAPI in order to implement this functionality.

use IWEventRegistry and define function "onsavehandler".

more clearly use "IWDCRInfo.getDCRName()" and "IWDCRInfo.setDCRName()" methods.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I was able to achieve this by using
IWDCRInfo.setDCRName(newName, null); in my .js file.
