dump dcr xml in tpl?

Hi-
Is there any way to dump the xml from a dcr directly into the output? My tpl generates XML, and for a particular node, the dcr xml is exactly as I want it in the output.

iw_value only outputs the text value of whatever node you give it, ignoring the markup around it.

hm, well, it's not quite that easy - there is only one particular section of the DCR that is a one-to-one dump, the rest of it is being munged by iw perl tags.

Can i just get to that single node using the iwpt_output() funciton.

Sure you can, not with the iwpt_output though. When you get DCR/XML Buffer you can use XML Parser to get whatever
you want. I often use TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

CRParser for that, it is subclassed from XMLParser and is more convenient in certain
cases.

Alternatively, you can use Regular Expression to extract what you need from the Buffer and output that Extract

thanks Boris. I didn't realize that get_xml() and get_inner_xml() were part of the DCRNode api. Since i was using iw_iterate to process all of the nodes, i was able to use those methods directly. it was very simple after all!
