in a couple other threads it's been noted that some sales reps have been saying Sept. 2009...which, if true, will be awesome for us since we're wrapping up the upgrade to 6.7.2 SP2 in September. So i'll go from being busy doing an upgrade to being busy investigating a new upgrade.

We have seen this with 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0.
7.0 will be no different IMHO.

It will be buggy, yet another .0 release and soon as you installed it you will be checking the support site every hour for the release of a version upgrade, a release, a patch.. even a black patch...

anyone who installs a *.0 release is just asking for lots of pain and discomfort. We'll investigate it so we stay caught up on the learning curve, but won't install anything in a production environment till at least an SP2 or higher is released, generally.

and any consultant who is asked to install 7.0 will be under contract for a *long* time Smiley Very Happy

Presumably the "big" (noticeable) feature will be a significant change to the UI as was discussed with wireframes at GearUp a couple of years ago.

As I recall it is somewhat of a merging of CCPro and CCStd functionality with highly customizable UI screens.

Beyond that, there is likely to be some integration improvements with Autonomy products.

I believe there is a Webcast tomorrow (which I will unfortunately have to catch on replay) that should cover some of this in at least a little more detail.

I also heard this news from our account manager, and may be out some time in September or October 2009.
