Customizing Content Center by Role

Linio

I'm trying to customize the Content Center by removing the 'Get Latest' function for everybody but the master.

So i edit the ui_custom.xml :

Then the roles_custom.xml :

I First tried to remove only for the editor, but then the strangest thing happens : it's only showing for the master role (this was the point i wanted to get to, but i don't understand why it's not showing for the Administrator role).

Am I missing something here?

edit : Super my message is not showing correctly, this is my day! The direct text doesn't work, same with the quote and code bbcode...

Fixed formatting of post (unless you know what you're doing - [html]...[/html] is generally easier to use than [code]...[/code] - though the latter allows you to use other formatting styles within it.)

What version of TeamSite are you using (including service pack and patch information)? Assuming you're using something prior to 6.7.x - the behavior is non-deterministic if you don't properly list the entry for each and every role - as you've experienced. So you should add the entry with 'true' for Masters and 'false' for the other roles - and it should work correctly, then if you change one of the other ones to 'true' that too should behave correctly (after running make_toolkit.ipl of course).
