Regarding SitePublisher generated component wrapper markup - Fixed vs Auto Height?
paultongyoo
Hi all--
Just wondering if anyone knows how SItePublisher decides to apply a fixed or auto height CSS to the wrapping DIV of its components?
Thanks in advance!
Paul

I'm wondering about this too. I have a component that maintains its height if its 260px or above. But if i make it any shorter, the iw_component has its height set to auto, and it just collapses. I don't nkow how i can force the iw_component div to always set its height.

does anyone have any ideas about this?

SitePublisher uses a combination of height and min-height so that the component will grow if the content inside is larger than anticipated. You should see the explicit height (in pixels) of the component in both a height rule and a min-height rule. There is also a height:auto!important rule. The explicit height rule is for IE6 and the other two rules are for IE7 and IE8 and Firefox. You should see all three rules on each component all the time. Without the IE6 support you would only see a min-height rule.
