How can we archive old editions in the interwoven Teamsite?

Hi,

I have some space issue on my Teamsite server so i want to delete/archive some old editions.Please let me know if any command line tools or any other process are available for resolving this issue.

Synopsis
Deleting Editions may not necessarily free up disk space. Particularly if the Editions contain any versions of files that are still being referenced in another area.
Details

Editions in and of themselves don't really take up disk space,since they basically just contain a list of versions of files.What has to be done to "get back" disk space is to deleteversions of files, which can only be done if there are noEditions or Workareas that referencing those particular versionsof the file(s). However, if these old versions are deleted,then the histories associated with those versions will alsobe deleted.

To reclaim (some) disk space, do the following:

1) Update all Workareas to make sure that all workareas are using the latest versions of all files
2) Create a new edition to ensure that this latest editionreferences only the latest versions of all files
3) Delete previous editions (or whatever editions are nolonger desired) to remove all versions of files which are notreferenced in the latest edition.

CAUTION:
Doing this will cause all history for the deletedversions to be lost, so reverting back to those versionswill not be possible.

Well,

1. did you follow proper training at Iwov-edution?
2. did you read the docs that (should) come with your local Teamsite install?
3. did you check any crontab or "at" jobs on your server?

DCB,
If you are getting mails then check for the emaiId(s)on the server.
Its somewhere in the config files.
Use the Search option,and you will get the concerned config file.
Check your iw.cfg file at iw-home\etc,I hope you can get some clue from there too.

Try to do this,
If still, you are unable to sort out then other aspects can be discussed.
