You can configure filters on the source side, target side, or both. How OpenDeploy usesfilters depends on the source-target filter relationship:
????
If the filter exists only on the source side, OpenDeploy ignores those excludedsource-side files and cannot deploy them. If the
doDeletes
feature is enabled, thoseexcluded source-side files that are also present on the target-side will be deleted.
If the filter exists only on the target side, OpenDeploy assumes those excluded filesdo not exist on the target, and will deploy any files that also exist on the source-side.
If the filter exists both on the source and target sides, OpenDeploy ignores theexcluded files on both sides, resulting in the target-side files being unaffected. If you are using filters in conjunction with the
transfer rules feature, youmust configure target-side exclusion filters to protect any files on the target that you donot want to delete. Otherwise, OpenDeploy will delete any files on the target that are noton the source, either because the files are physically not present in the source filelocation, or because source-side exclusion filters have made it appear that the files arenot present.
