Change Properties Screen

How much control do we have over the Change Properties screen (Workflow Tab->Job Details screen->Actions list). I know that we can control, based on role, who can/cannot modify job properties. Is it an all or nothing thing?

I was wondering if there was any way to control access to singular items on the Change Properties screen. For example, I want users to be able to edit a Due Date property, but not a Description property.

And, is the anyway to control the format of the value a user enters in these items. For example, the Due Date property that you get for free for every job created has a nice calendar widget, and the textbox for it cannot be edited. The user is forced to use the calendar pop-up. I'm looking to do something similar since we have other date items that we might want to allow the user to change, but need to do some sort of validation that a proper date value was entered.

I don't believe that particular screen has received much, if any, attention over the last several releases and as such, I do not believe there is any way to customize it in either appearance or functionality.

If you feel you have a reasonable use-case for that to be changed, file an enhancement (feature) request with Support.
