limit number of versions

Hi. I am not sure where we could specify the number of versions which could be stored in staging. In iw.cfg, there are some parameters called view_history_limit, compare_search_limit, i guess this is for listing only, not really affect how many versions stored in staging.
Then how could we do this for housekeeping purpose ?

There is no built-in way to limit the number of versions one can have for any given file within TeamSite - it's kind of in opposition to the concept of providing a version management system.

However, you could periodically delete old editions - which will free up references to older versions of files and allow them to be cleaned up (removed) by the system.

Warning: If you're *not* using TeamSite 5.5.2 - deletion of editions may result in significant overhead on the TeamSite server process (5.5.2 is MUCH better in this regard - and more)

A more interesting discussion would be *why* you feel the need to limit the number of versions of files and to what number of versions you are talking about (i.e. limiting to only 3 versions of files would seem rather short-sighted, but limiting to 100 versions of files makes more sense from a disk-management perspective)
