If multiple instances of OD are running, how does that affect deployment process ?

How to check whether multiple instances of OD are running ?
If multiple instances of OD are running and if I telnet to the receiver, which instance will I be connected to ?

In my opinion, OD creates seperate daemons for each instance and wherein we have observed that deployment performance has increased significantly. Here I am assuming that you are talking about multiple instances on target hosts. To check that, you can always refer to odnodes.xml file on source server. When you do telnet, you always specify OD port #. Therefore, in my opinion you always know which instance you have connected to.
