Include Filter

Hi All,

I have used "include" filter on both source and target sides.

The above definition is deploying to multiple targets having a set of filters at both source and targets.
I just want to know if I delete the filter at target end and apply doDeletes="yes" then what will happen?
I also referred to the manuals but its not clear to me.
Your help would be much appreciated.

If you delete the target folder, OD will try to create that folder on target while deploying. If this filter folder is not present on source itself, then it will be ignored and will be deleted from target in case of doDeletes="yes".

You can also run the deployment on your test environment and see result.

Thanks for the reply.
If the filter is only present at source, doDelete="yes",no filter at target and there are no files to be deployed then what will happen,would the target folders mentioned in the include filter get deleted?

doDeletes="yes" : This flag will delete all files which are present on target but are missing on source.

In your case, since the filter is present on your source, it will be deployed. I think OD will create empty folder on target since source folder does not have any files. But OD will certainly not delete this folder if its present on target.
