custom task

hi,
i need to make a custom task to automatic add associations on assets insertion\upload.
in the creation task interface there are only the add metadata option but not the add associations option, anyone have a suggestion or know a pdf guide about that?

I am afraid that it is not currently possible to do this via a task. UNder the covers Associations are stored as metadata but unfortunately they do not have the "addable" property.

If you can more fully indicate the use case there might be other ways to reach the same conclusion.

Thank you for your reply, now i explain our goal:

We have a text file containing copyright rules and we need to automatically associate that file to many images on upload.
Normally we can add the file as association by selectiong all the images or folder and use the "tools->associations->associate" optoin but we need an "automatic way" to do that.

Any suggestion?
