It is a default system variable and returns you the TeamSite Server name.

Where can I go look to see what it is going to be, Or how is it defined? Our consolutent was coding such that it was going to be the fully qualified DNS name myhost.domain.com and its comming back as the just the host name myhost?

Look at what the system returns if you type hostname in a shell (this is Unix right?)
Look at how the value is defined in your iw.cfg file

If the system returns just the base hostname - that's usually an indication that the /etc/hosts file needs to be updated to specify the fully qualified name first.
If /etc/iw.cfg contains just the base hostname, you may be able to change it to the fully qualified name but make sure to test logging in and various other aspects of using the GUI before concluding that was sufficient.
