Office integration: Local Doc to Worksite

Hi,

Can anyone please provide me with the preferred method of programmatically associating (saving) a local Word document with Worksite?
My App generates word documents. Before the document is shown to the user i need to save it into Worksite and profile as neccessary. Also can this be acheived without closing the local document, saving it to worksite and then reopening from Worksite?
