How to access data?

Hi. I'm trying to access the data returned from a template.cfg parse. How do I access the data in the resulting data structure? I don't think I fully understand what that data structure is and how to get to it. I thought it was a reference to a hash, but nothing I've tried has worked yet. Any help is appreciated.

Here is some code:


# Parse the templating.cfg file and get results in $cats_ref
my ($cats_ref, $p1, $ret, $user_name, $user_role);

You are correct, it is a reference to a hash. It is actually a Hash of Hashes, etc...
To illustrate, try something like the following (note double dollar sign)

print $$cats_ref{Your Applicable Category}{data_types}{One of Applicable Types}{template};

but, I just noticed that it is not running through all the categories, just the first one. Our templating.cfg is attached (EDIT: file was too large).

Here is the first category of our templating.cfg. I just noticed that is is not processing all of the data_types, either. It is only doing standard, generic, and redirect. So it seems that we have something in our file that the parsing code doesn't like??

Since it didn't seem to complain about parsing the file, I assume that is failing, but that leaves me without a reason for not processing the other categories. Did I do something dumb?

It did process something. Does this "something" correspond to User, Role and Path you've supplied to the Object Constructor?
