Hi,

I am using a form in component where I have mentioned form name="name" method="post" action="/some_action", but when I preview the component or submit the form, the action URL gets completely changed with some other parametrers, Could anyone explain, is there any file where the action has already been set and as a result which overwrites my custom action.........

What is the action URL when you submit or preview the component .
If possible, kindly post the XSL file of the component.

Livesite will control the form attributes unless you set the attribute type="external" in your form element. this will allow you to control submissions to some other form processing mechanism like a jsp or servlet.
